The Borough of Baldwin, PA is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Borough Manager/Finance Officer. Under the general supervision of the Borough Manager, this employee shall provide leadership, coordination, and administration of the Borough’s financial planning, budget management, fiscal records and reports, and ensure accounting procedures and financial reporting conform to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The employee shall administer payroll, human resources, job-coaching, procurement, technology, and branding and marketing of the Borough. In addition, the employee shall assist the Borough Manager in completing a variety of projects as requested, including filling in as Borough Manager when they are unavailable.
The preferred candidate must be motivated, tactful, proactive, and have excellent communication skills. You need to be able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, as well as have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. You must be able to produce a budget using historical trend analysis and forecasting methods. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and at least two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Baldwin Borough is residential community of 20,000 that borders the City of Pittsburgh. You will work on the leadership team with 5-6 colleagues and will interface with elected officials, residents, vendors, and all Borough employees. Since staffing is lean, employees are expected to be flexible and take on tasks that are outside of their job description to keep the Borough operating smoothly. Salary range is $50,000-$65,000, plus excellent benefits.
